Bromley Canoe Club

On Saturday 7th June the kayak slalom competition for the London Youth games took place at the London Regatta Centre, Albert Docks.

Bromley entered a team of six - four paddlers plus two reserves, who all worked hard in the run up to the event training and preparing themselves. Fantastic effort was put in on the day both by the four paddlers and their team mates cheering them on. Well done all.

There was tough competition from other teams many of which are better located for kayaking with easier access to water for practicing. Competition was particularly tough in the senior boys group where some of the paddlers were almost certainly competitive slalom paddlers outside the youth games. Even with these disadvantages our team got great results.
